Behind every NW-AGA photo gallery is a small team of ordinary parents and teachers who share an extraordinary passion for archery, photography and the people who make our sport special.

We are not a large professional media team. We are volunteers who give our time, energy and dedication because we believe these moments deserve to be remembered. Every smile, every achievement, every look of concentration and every proud moment on the range becomes part of the story of NW-AGA.

And while you may only see the finished photograph, there is much more happening behind the lens.

On the Range

From the first arrows of the day to the final round, our photographers are constantly on the move.

We work round for round and flight for flight, walking and moving throughout the range to photograph as many archers as possible. Hours are spent on our feet, watching, waiting and moving from one position to another, always trying to capture the right moment while maintaining the best possible photo quality.

It takes patience, concentration and endurance.

When Everyone Goes Home

The competition may be over, but our work is not. Long after the range has gone quiet and most people are already relaxing at home, our photographers are still working behind the scenes. Every photograph is manually reviewed for safety compliance according to AGA rules and regulations. Images are checked carefully, edited where necessary and prepared for publication. Only once this process has been completed are the photographs uploaded and authorised for archers, families and viewers to enjoy.

We Work as a Team

Photography within NW-AGA is a true team effort. There is constant communication between our photographers before, during and after competitions. We coordinate our coverage, help one another and work together to ensure that as many archers as possible are represented. No single photographer can be everywhere at once. That is why teamwork matters so much.

More Than Just a Photograph

Sometimes photography can seem like a small part of an archery competition, but photographs preserve what results alone cannot. They capture determination, pride, friendship, celebration and the moments families want to remember. They give archers something to share with friends and family, provide schools and clubs with memories of their achievements and create a visual history of our sport. Without photographers, many of these moments would simply be lost.

A Labour of Love

Being an NW-AGA photographer is not quick or easy. It takes long hours, physical endurance, patience, teamwork and commitment. For some of us photography may have started as a hobby, but the dedication behind every competition gallery is very real.

We do it because we love the sport.

We do it because we care about our archers.

And we do it because we believe their moments are worth remembering.

Behind Every Photo Is a Story

The next time you browse through an NW-AGA gallery, remember that every image carries a little more than what you see on the screen. Behind it is someone who stood beside the range, followed another flight, waited for the right moment, reviewed the photograph afterwards and gave their own time to make sure that memory could be shared.

We are not simply taking photographs. We are preserving the story of NW-AGA, one arrow and one moment at a time.
